Terms of Service
Last Updated: September 2026
Welcome to MubuyWallet! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MubuyWallet website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By registering for an account or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating a MubuyWallet account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, a resident of Nigeria (or legally permitted to use Nigerian financial services), and capable of forming a binding contract. MubuyWallet reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Services
MubuyWallet provides a digital wallet platform that enables users to:
- Convert mobile network airtime into cash equivalents.
- Create and fund virtual USD cards for international online transactions.
- Purchase internet data, VTU airtime, and pay utility bills.
- Trade verified digital gift cards.
We rely on third-party telecommunication companies, payment processors, and banking partners to execute these services. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access if these third-party systems experience downtime.
3. User Registration & Security
To use MubuyWallet, you must register for an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are required to pass standard KYC (Know Your Customer) verifications as mandated by Nigerian financial regulations.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, PINs, and passwords. MubuyWallet will not be held liable for any loss arising from unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to secure your credentials.
4. Airtime to Cash Transactions
When utilizing our Airtime to Cash service, you agree to the following:
- Airtime sent to our designated numbers must be legally acquired.
- Conversion rates fluctuate and are clearly displayed on the app before you confirm a transaction. By proceeding, you accept the displayed rate.
- Airtime sent incorrectly, to the wrong number, or exceeding the pre-approved amount may result in a total loss of the airtime. MubuyWallet is not liable for user-generated transfer errors.
5. Virtual Card Usage
MubuyWallet provides virtual cards intended for legitimate online purchases. By creating a virtual card, you agree that:
- You will not use the card for illegal activities, money laundering, fraud, or purchasing prohibited goods and services.
- Cards may be subject to creation fees and funding exchange rates, which will be disclosed prior to funding.
- MubuyWallet reserves the right to freeze, block, or terminate any virtual card suspected of being used for fraudulent or unauthorized transactions.
6. Fees and Charges
MubuyWallet operates with transparency. All fees, including airtime conversion rates, virtual card creation fees, and withdrawal charges, are prominently displayed before any transaction is executed. By proceeding with a transaction, you authorize us to deduct the applicable fees from your wallet balance.
7. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in any of the following activities while using MubuyWallet:
- Using the platform for money laundering, terrorist financing, or any illegal activity.
- Attempting to hack, exploit, or bypass the security mechanisms of the MubuyWallet app or website.
- Initiating fraudulent chargebacks or disputes with your bank to defraud the platform.
- Providing fake identity documents during the KYC verification process.
Violation of these rules will result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of funds, and potential reporting to Nigerian law enforcement agencies (such as the EFCC).
8. Limitation of Liability
MubuyWallet provides its services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we do not warrant that the service will be entirely free from delays or errors caused by telecommunication networks, banks, or internet service providers.
In no event shall MubuyWallet, its directors, or employees be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our services.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, before seeking standard judicial remedies.
